In addition to NSBU, 11 other teams played in Boys U17 2008/09 Invitational. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof NSBU could be found in Group B together with Alvik Basket, Falcon Basketball 2008 and SISU.

NSBU continued to A-slutspil after reaching 1:st place in Group B. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Bears Academy with 32-61. In the Final, Malbas orange won over Bears Academy and became the winner of A-slutspil in Boys U17 2008/09 Invitational.
