Bears Academy was one of 54 clubs from Denmark that had teams playing during BMS Herlev Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys U17 2008/09 Invitational.

In addition to Bears Academy, 11 other teams played in Boys U17 2008/09 Invitational. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Bears Academy could be found in Group C together with Gladsaxe Basketball Klub, Trelleborg Pirates and Hørsholm 79ers D09 Sort.

Bears Academy made it to A-slutspil after reaching 1:st place in Group C. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Malbas orange with 74-76. Thereby Bears Academy finished second in Boys U17 A-slutspil during BMS Herlev Cup 2024.

Bears Academy also participated in Boys U17 2007/08 Invitational during BMS Herlev Cup 2023. They won A-slutspil, after beating Brønshøj Dragons in the final with 56-47.

Bears Academy comes from Risskov which lies approximately 150 km from Herlev, where BMS Herlev Cup takes place. The area around Risskov does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during BMS Herlev Cup 2024 (Harlev basket, Åbyhøj Basket, Åbyhøj, AGF BASKET, Åbyhøj IF, Aabyhøj Basketball and Skovbakken Bears).
